Unlike typical stick bait shapes, its slim profile resembles that of a soft plastic stick bait, making it extremely attractive to bass. A significant amount of the Skimmer's motion is due to the "zig" and "zag" movements, with the tail-weighted end of the Ima Skimmer creating a wild disturbance in the water and causing a noticeable boil. Whenever the Skimmer turns, the weighted tail stirs the water and the bait narrowly escapes ahead of the boil, mimicking the behavior of a prey fish fleeing from a bass.
